At Colmore Tailors, our bespoke mens wedding suits take around 6-8 weeks, however we recommend allowing 12 weeks as your wedding date doesnt move. As you get closer to your wedding date, your time becomes more precious. Plan ahead.

Often the first point of call is a relaxed conversation about your big day over a coffee at our private Birmingham Atelier. It’s important that we understand your wedding date, its location, climate, and overall style. We like to learn about yourself, your job, your hobbies and what’s important to you. This helps us curate the perfect bespoke wedding suit for you.

It can reward you to get 2 bespoke shirts so you can change the base layer before the evening celebrations. Often the ceremony can be warm, nervous, and lead to a little perspiration. There is nothing like a quick freshen up and change into a crisp, white bespoke shirt to make you feel brand new again.

Colmore Tailors have a vast collection of jackets and trousers which are available for you to try on.

This is excellent for visualising the end garment, and deciding which kind of fabric and style best suits you.

We have crafted many different wedding suits and styles, from traditional English church weddings to rustic barn elopements.

Like the suit for a Sikh wedding with a requirement that the suit be comfortable when sat cross legged on the floor. There was the Islamic wedding where the groom desired a comfortable garment while he sat on the throne. And the 60’s inspired brown rock suit for a school teacher.

We’ve made a lot and really enjoy making them as unique as you are.

Wedding tip

Try to allow at least a month to break in your shoes before the big day. We favour high-quality bench-made shoes, which are made from high-quality leather and take time to break in properly. If you find yourself pressed for time, it may be more beneficial to consider a softer make with a shorter break in period.
